Training the next generation of psychologists.
Each year, MPS, L.L.C., proudly welcomes one gifted, compassionate doctoral student from Kansas City University’s up-and-coming Health Service Psychology Psy.D. program as a junior colleague for training in psychological assessment and psychotherapy under Dr. Maxwell’s close supervision.
Recognizing that many folks would often like to meet more frequently than he can accommodate, Dr. Maxwell is pleased to offer his current clients an option to meet with his trainee during weeks when he is unavailable or fully scheduled. Dr. Maxwell allows his student to provide supportive, adjunctive therapy sessions under his regular (i.e., weekly) guidance to folks currently meeting with him. This option is available Wednesday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM for 60-minute sessions at a low rate of $40/session.
NOTE: New clients may select Dr. Maxwell’s trainee as their preferred provider following an initial evaluation conducted by Dr. Maxwell. Please note Dr. Maxwell supervises his trainee across all clinical services as described. If you are interested, please call (913) 733-1882.
